TREATMENTS & BENEFITS

Most Popular Deep Tissue Treatments:

  • lower back massage for sciatica

  • deep tissue massage for rotator cuff

  • deep tissue massage for neck & shoulders

Benefits:

  • increase joint mobility by reducing any thickening of the connective tissue and helping to release restriction in the fascia

  • reduce pain, stiffness and muscle fatigue produced by the accumulation of waste product in the muscles and the removal of metabolic waste is speeded up and normal function is more quickly restored; the increased nutrients and oxygen will also facilitate tissue repair and recovery

  • break down adhesions which may have developed within the muscles as a result of tension, poor posture and injury

  • increases the supply of fresh, oxygenated blood to the tissue, the capillaries empty and fresh oxygenated blood flows into them more quickly. The nutrients and oxygen nourish the tissues and aid tissue recovery and repair

  • reduce ischaemia (ischaemia is a reduction in the flow of the blood to body parts, often marked by pain and tissue dysfunction).

PROCESS & BENEFITS

We will have an initial consultation which is very important as it allows me to determine the treatment that suits you, with the aim of meeting your needs and expectations. I use Grapeseed oil which is 100% pure, unrefined for maximum absorption in the skin. It is the most commonly used carrier oil due to its wide ranges of benefits and is suitable for all skin types.  It softens and nourishes the skin, useful for who do not like oils that are too greasy.

  • Moisturising to the skin and hair;

  • Helps muscular tension, pain and stiffness;

  • Helps to soothe and reduce inflammation;

  • Beneficial in relieving itching associated with dry skin

ADVICE

To get most from the treatment

REST

Sit and rest for a few minutes after the treatment, avoid excess exertion as rest allows the body to be able to heal. Take a warm bath.

DRINK

Avoid alcohol and smoking, tea or coffee and stick to herbal teas or fresh juices.
Drink plenty of water as this helps to flush out the toxins that have been released from the soft tissues.

EAT

Avoid red meat.
Eat a light meat – if the body is using the energy for digesting a heavy meal, it’s not putting its energy in the process of healing.

 If you are experiencing tension and suffering from chronic pain in specific areas of the body Deep Tissue Massage is what you need to reduce tissue congestion and restore elasticity of the muscles.
